Access Reimbursement Grants Available Now

Oregon arts groups can take advantage of the new Access Reimbursement grant program, which will assist them in providing public access to all individuals who want to participate in their programs and activities.   The grants range from $200 - $1,000. Only one award has been made to date; it helped the Oregon Shakespeare Festival with the sign interpretation of seven performances of six plays during the festival’s three Sign Interpreted Weekends.  As a result of announcing the signed performances at the start of the season, the festival sold 245 tickets to deaf patrons and their companions in 2010, an increase of 24% from the prior year.  How are you planning to make your programs more accessible? How can we help? http://tinyurl.com/OAC-Access-Reimbursement-grant
